Liquor Licensing
Liquor Licencing
In South Australia, clubs that sell or serve alcohol must hold a liquor licence. An accredited Responsible Services Badge bar staff member must be present where alcohol is sold or supplied. Clubs that do not serve alcohol, but allow alcohol to be brought into the club's premises and consumed, still require a Limited Club Licence. Holders of a liquor licence/permit have legal responsibilities as laid down by the Liquor Licensing Act 1997.

Responsible Services Badge
It is a requirement to have badged staff (paid or volunteer) present where liquor is sold or supplied. Requirements for a Responsible Services Badge can be achieved by participating in two courses: Liquor Licensing Laws and Customer Relations & Responsible Service of Alcohol. These courses are offered regularly by a range of training providers.
